| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Looks fine so far but it's a typical idol show with the story contents so far. There's the idols introduced from the first episode with different personalities. Subaru seems to be the most energetic of the cast while I think Koga is the most badass. The others...idk how to feel about them so far. I just hope this show has room for character development despite its large character cast. The animation quality is quite colorful for the first episode. |

| Trickstar!! Though the narrations sounds like Sakamoto-san (that rumor is true?). KajiKaji's character left immediately for work, though. And Rest of Trickstar to the introduction and going through the academy. DreFes (Dream Idol Festival)? Using that to introduce other characters. There are two students competing each other. Fighting is allowed?! Strongest is for that? Student Council?! w. that Pink hair shota. They don't seem to allow the event. KajiKaji's character helped his unit out to carry main girl, who is somehow unconscious from the whole thing. So they wants her help produce best idols so they can survive when they graduate. | There are a whole lot of things bundled in the first episode, so a little bit hard to catch up for someone not really familiar with this idol franchise like me. Subaru is cute (the KageHina vibe is strong), and there are some idol groups I'm (already) interested in like Ryuseitai and Rabbits. Overall, this episode is nice enough. But I guess the thread will be empty just like King of Prism SSS last season, too bad. |

The first episode definitely had a bunch of stuff and they breezed through super fast (but understandable since they teased Eden's char designs and therefore SS is inevitable). | I literally cried and had a mental breakdown for 24 minutes long. Nah. For real, it was really good, I'm SO HAPPY to see all of them. Anzu was just like I imagine. Btw she's beautiful too The boys were amazing. I LOVED THE OPENING!! I'm glad we can see everyone on it. I SCREAM SO HARD WHEN I SAW LEO AAAAH MY BEST BOY I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.. LISTEN. There is so much thing to say honestly. I cried so hard seeing Kuro too haha HE WAS SO CUTE I'M GLAD THAT'S HOW THEY INTRODUCE HIM.. But overall, for the moment they're following the main story and they're doing it pretty well. I'm glad. And yeah, finally I'm really excited to see what we're going to have next.. Can't wait to see my best boys, to see all the other characters as well, EDEN TOO!! Very excited for them. |

| I found the jokes are pretty cringy and they damaged the pacing. The character are also pretty generic and largely fall into familiar stereotypes. |

Either way lol, I never played too much of this game but I guess the ones who are big enstars fan will really love seeing their boys be animated however uhm, not sure if I will dig it after this episode but I'll give it a go. |

| As someone who's been a fan of this franchise for almost as long as it's been out there, this was a very overwhelming experience ;_; <3 I've been waiting for the anime for so long and it's finally here!! I really enjoyed the first episode and based on that it looks like the anime will at least partly be based on the main story |

| Only took over 3 years for it to air after being announced but it's finally here! Nice to see all the boys animated in the OP (aside from Eden). Looks like they're following the game story for now, as expected. Anzu is so cute. Looking forward to my sweet sweet RYUSEITAI (Chiaki) content. I'm still offended they're not in the anime poster. If you look at his phone you can see that Mao's calling him to wake him up. The anime is already giving us MaoRitsu rights and I'm here for it. |

| aaaa I really fear the anime won't give everyone enough time for development and people will think the characters are shallow... while in reality they're allso interesting and have nice backstories and many of them are really unique. everything looks so colourful and happy rn... so I hope we get to see the darkness this series has. in a way it reminds me of Fruits Basket where it seems to be all cute but in reality has some very serious and dark shit. it's the same for enstars, though imo it's more seen in the event stories in the game so I'm not sure how/if they're going to show all the bad and serious stuff which really makes enstars stand out from other idol series. if you think it's going to be a happy and cute harem-like idol anime then you're greatly underestimating enstars, trust me. there's some pretty edgy stuff too lol (cough cough like the marionette event cough cough) I don't like Anzu and would have preferred the anime without her (like it was in the manga) bc I fear people will immediately think of it as of a harem anime sighs... don't worry, it's not. but it's going to be gay and I do hope they'll animate band ensemble lol I need my ritsumaos!! anyway I love Ricchan so much and he's so beautiful in the opening I legit cried when I saw his shoulder. it's great to see the love of my life being animated, can't wait to hear him talk ;A; |
| I personally thought it was pretty good overall. Though on the other hand, I haven't watched any idol anime before or had any experience with Enstars before I found the anime. Tried to get into the game right after the first episode but having to use so many translation guides was too daunting lol. I'll just stick to watching the anime for now. |

| Hahahahah DreFes!, for real? Coming from Dream Festival!, this made me laugh and hurt like hell at the same time. (Was this why that had to be shot down? Some legal issues in the background? I should like to think not, but who knows...) Anyway. For something that's been "coming soon" for so long (how many years now?), I expected more. Or better. More and better, even. I mean, I know tropes, but this is about as generic as it can get. For a game, it makes sense to put the player into a "producer" or "manager" role; in an anime, it's alienating, especially when other characters consistently refuse to call her by her name, even though she does introduce herself. It also gets tedious with the "new transfer student, a girl at that, in a boys' school" trope, that's even taken to another level, because she comes to a course that technically doesn't even exist yet. Come on. The whole genre can be done in much more organic ways. And this premiered the same week as StarMyu S3 as well. Eh. |
| Well this was...something. Male idol anime actually taking place in a school setting damn, art style looked pretty nice Also damn Ayumu Murase could legit pass by, doing the voice for a female character with that performance. Would be nice to see given how many female seiyuu voice male ones |

| I've played the game, once upon a time. Though I stopped because I quite frankly got bored of the gameplay. Tap Tap Grind Fest isn't my kind of gameplay, so I'm excited for the rhythm game whenever happyele decides to release that. but anyways that's besides the point of this comment and me just saying I have background knowledge prior to watching this. I'm really happy they gave Anzu a face and are somehow including all of the units despite it following the Main Story!! I found the main story boring, for one thing it's really Trickstar based and while yes I'm part time TrickstarP and I absolutely love Hokuto with all my heart,, but,, I'm a (fake) KnightsP ww. Another thing I didn't really like about the main story was that it was dramatic anyways tldr I just found it really boring, I am excited to see my boys being animated despite me finding it really boring! Mayhaps I'll get a better experience with the anime since it's animated and I don't have to use my brain to read; though I'm not expecting much. also every time hokke speaks im expecting to hear hosoyan and not maeno since back when i played the game, it was before the voice switch. i love maeno and all, but hokke being cv hosoyan is what made me even stare at the franchise and i just,, its not the same; another note is that i have stars' ensemble (the opening) stuck in my head please help m |

| GOD ive loved enstars since 2015 so im soooo happy it finally got animated! nazuna is my fav character ever so i really hope they do him justice and also show his backstory w valkyrie :") im sad ppl call trickstar boring though... theyre not...theyre good boys pls appreciate them ;_; |
| I can't believe this is really happening!! I was about to cry during the whole episode cause I was so happy to see my boys finally moving and singing after waiting for so long! And then THAT OPENING: Arashi sitting on the back of Izumi's motorbike while Izumi is looking longingly to the rose which is catching by Leo in the next szene, my precious boys from Valkyrie, Madara who is standing next to his former unit <3<3 I watched it nearly twenty times in a row to realize everything! Sadly Eden don't have an appearance.... Though it was particularly focus on Trickstar during the whole episode I really enjoyed Koga's, Kuro's and Tetsu's performance, especially watching Koga singing his Solo-Song was a nice surprise and I hope we will hear more of them ;-) Can't wait for the next episode @_@ Now I'm so looking forward seeing my fave guy Chiaki and my fave units Knights and Valkyrie <3<3<3 even if I don't know how they will put the latter and also Madara and Leo into the main story... Maybe they bring in some of the "darker" eventstories to give them screentime? To this I would only say 'Marvelous' ;-D |

| This looks like absolute fucking garbage. I'm dropping it immediately. The female protagonist ruins it, but even if she wasn't there, the characters are boring as hell, and aren't that visually appealing at all. I liked "Dream Festival" and "King of Prism," but this is trash. |

| Most of the characters seem quite nice and fun and... that's all. Everything else just feel not right, hard to explain why. The plot, the school, the council... And this fight scene ? I don't know the game neither the light novel so I'm maybe missing some references, but I didn't really get what was happening during this episode. Hope the characters will be good enough to keep me watching. |
| A lot of parts were cringy even for what I expected for an idol anime, but let's see where this is going, if only to see the couple of characters I liked when I tried playing the game a long time ago. Really wish they'd give MC some personally if she's gonna be there at all. |
| shit accidentally voted 5/5 out of habit. was gonna vote 3/5 I know that this anime is intended for those who've played the games and girls and fujoshis and whatnots, but I still overestimated this. What was I thinking? That this would actually have a setup that's different from all the other school idol animes and have a main female character with an actual personality and the male characters not be so cringy and one-dimensional and stereotypical? Was I expecting an actual decent plot? I'm so stupid. Welp. At least the music and aesthetics are good. |
