I never understood how the ancients could stand to use flatheads for everything until I tried out my Granpa's old hand drill.
I will say that Yankee screwdrivers are not as good as modern ratcheting drivers... didn't stop me from getting all 3 sizes from the antique mall. However, using Yankee's as push drills is remarkably effortless.

I use flathead tools for both philips and torx screws... can't be bothered to bust out the right one, especially for those miniature screws they put on phones and game consoles. But recently I was pulled out of my confort zone in a rude way, as I wanted to get a flathead to get some chiselling done, but I couldn't find my so beloved flathead, so I had to use an actual chisel to do some chiselling :-V
